Subscriptions Through PayPal
Plans are purchased as PayPal subscriptions and require that you have a PayPal account. PayPal accounts are free, and there are no PayPal surcharges on any payments you make, including subscription payments. How your subscription payments are funded (using your PayPal balance or another payment method such as a major credit card) depends on how your PayPal account options are set up.
When you click on the BUY NOW button, you'll be taken to nSiteful's Secure PayPal Payment Page where you can review your order before placing it. Until you actually complete your order at PayPal, you have not purchased anything. If you have any questions or problems when trying to place your order, please contact us.
Once Your Order Is Placed
As soon as we receive notification that your subscription has been processed, we will contact you at the email address associated with your PayPal account to get started. Our email will contain all the instructions you need for adding us to your WordPress dashboard so we can install and configure the software for the plan you have chosen.
Recurring Charges and Cancellation
Once you have placed your subscription order, your PayPal account will be billed automatically every subsequent month, on the day of the previous month's processing, unless and until your subscription is cancelled. You have the ability to cancel your subscription at any time from your PayPal account, or you can contact us and we will cancel your subscription for you. Cancellations are effective the last day of the current billing cycle.
Note: If a subscription payment is due on a date that does not occur in a given month (e.g, the 30th does not occur in February), the payment will be made on the 1st day of the following month. Thereafter, the payment will occur on the 1st of each month.

WordPress Updates (Core, Themes, Plugins)
Did you know you can break your WordPress Web site simply by updating it
? Or by updating your theme or some plugin? It's true. If some theme or plugin you're using isn't compatible with the newest version of WordPress, your site can break when you succumb to that enticing link in your WordPress dashboard that reads "WordPress a.b.c is available! Please update now". You can also break your site by updating a theme or plugin that requires a newer version of WordPress than the one installed on your site.
Surely you've got better things to do
that worry about such things. But we don't
. And that's why we offer these WordPress maintenance services.
The people who make WordPress, and the people who make the themes and plugins that make WordPress better, are continually updating
their products. And while those "update now" links in your WordPress Dashboard make it easy (too easy!) to perform one-click updates, we urge all our clients NOT to do it

the development lifecycles of WordPress and the themes and plugins in use, and we will manually update
these elements on a case-by-case basis — only after we research potential bugs and incompatibilities — and test them
. In addition, we will perform manual backups before and after
all software updates so that, in the event of unforeseen problems, we can roll back your site to its previous working state, without losing any of your valuable content.

24/7 Security Protection & Monitoring
WordPress Web sites are favorite targets for hackers and other cyber-vandals. But you probably know that. In fact, you might be considering nSiteful's Maintenance Plans for WordPress sites because your site has already been hacked or otherwise compromised.
If the plan you select includes the Security Protection & Monitoring
feature, you can rest assured that your site will be safe and secure and hardened against hacker attacks. The WordFence PREMIUM Security
plugin we'll install and configure on your site will provide robust protection with a feature list that includes, but is not limited to, the following: scans and monitors all real-time traffic; monitors disk space usage to detect DDoS
attacks; real-time blocking of known attackers and malicious networks; scans core files, themes and plugins against WordPress.org repository versions to check their integrity; detects many backdoors, trojans, and other suspicious code; supports configurable rules for blocking or throttling offending users and robots; scans for malware and phishing URLs.
When our security software detects and notifies us of any potential security breach, we will investigate the source immediately, free of charge
. If the solution to the breach is a simple matter (such as updating a vulnerable plugin with a newer, secure version), we'll perform the fix on your behalf at no charge. If a more substantial fix is required (e.g., if your site has been hacked through a backdoor that WordFence is unable to definitively identify, and we need to find and remove it), we can so so, and additional fees (which you can pay for with your bank of Retainer Consulting Hours) may apply.

Automated WordPress Backups
Stuff happens. Even the best hosting services are not immune to problems that can break your Web site.
Your hosting service may come with a free, basic "Backup and Restore" service that makes a backup of everything on your server. It may even offer a premium "Backup and Restore" service for a few dollars a month, giving you more control over which files you back up and restore. While these services are valuable and worthwhile, they typically require that someone manually initiate them
through the hosting account control panel. In addition, if you ever have to perform a restore, you need the knowledge and tools
required for uncompressing and uploading files to your server.
If you update your site often
, you really need an automated and user-friendly system
for backup and restore. The last thing you want to happen is to lose a week (or even an hour) of work because your server experienced a problem. Even if you update your site only rarely, a server problem can corrupt files or database tables and leave you with a broken Web site.
And, of course, if you ever perform one of those "One-Click" updates of WordPress or any of its themes or plugins (which you should not
do and don't have to do if you're using nSiteful's Maintenance Services), you could end up with a broken site and no easy way to fix it

By default, these backups are stored in a designate folder on your Web server, from which you can download them whenever you want. of backups! Making
reliable backups that can be used to restore your site in an emergency is essential, of course. But what if your server is inaccessible

to configure your backup profiles to send copies to any of the supported remote destinations. If you need guidance, we're here for you. We'll explain the remote destination options, and we can guide you in setting them up and then configuring your backup profiles (additional charges apply).
In the event a restore is needed
, we will perform the restore as soon as possible. Except in cases where a restore is necessitated by our own actions
(e.g., an update we performed that must be rolled back), the effort required to perform the restore will be charged to you, the client. You can pay these charges with your Retainer Consulting Hours, or we will invoice you on a Time-Billed basis.

First Response (FREE)
All reputable hosting firms have their own systems in place for monitoring uptime and downtime. However, most firms tend to respond to problems based on the "sqeaky wheel" principle.
We assume you want to spend your time working on your business and enhancing the content and functionality of your Web site
— rather than talking to tech support personnel at your hosting firm (and waiting on hold until they answer
). Also, with our extensive experience dealing with a myriad of hosting firms since 1994, we're pretty sure we can cut to the chase (and push back when tech support personnel are unresponsive) better and quicker than the average bear.
When our own uptime monitoring systems inform us that your site is down, we can serve as the first responder
by contacting your hosting vendor on your behalf
to investigate the cause and to put them on notice
that we expect a suitable and prompt response and resolution (and, yes, to be the one waiting on hold until they answer).
Most of our plans come with a monthly allocation of time we'll spend for this purpose on your behalf free of charge
. If, in any month, we've used up your plan's allocation, we'll contact you to let you decide whether you want us to continue to serve as your first responder (in which case any additional time would be charged to your bank of Retainer Consulting Hours).

Retainer Consulting Hour VIP Rates
Retainer Consulting Hours (RCHs) are pre-paid blocks of hours
that can be used to pay for effort above and beyond the services covered by the base fee for the Maintenance Plan you choose and wherever it is noted herein that "additional fees apply".
Our steeply discounted VIP rates
are currently as low as $70 per hour
(when purchased in blocks of twelve or more hours). Our Standard rates
are as low as $90 per hour
(when purchased in blocks of ten or more hours). Both sets of rate schedules use a sliding scale with progressive discounting.
Consulting effort covered by your bank of Retainer Consulting Hours will be tracked and decremented from your bank in tenth-of-an-hour (6-minute) increments
, and they do not expire
as long as your MSA plan is in force. Retainer Consulting Hours can be traded in
(using the lowest VIP rate as the exchange rate) and applied as a credit against fees for optional services for which fixed-fee quotations are furnished. (Note:
Retainer Consulting Hours cannot be applied as credits against the monthly Subscription payment for your Maintenance Services Agreement plan.)
Retainer Consulting Hours can be purchased
(by check, credit card, or PayPal funds) at any time
and as frequently as necessary.

Secure, Seamless Offsite Backups
If you already have your own FTP site or cloud storage account with any of the systems supported by our backup software (BackupBuddy), you can probably set up secure offsite storage for your backups all by yourself, or with a little help from us.
But if you don't have those resources, or you don't want to go through the bother of setting them up, or you don't want to have to remember to download your backups from your WordPress dashboard every day, let nSiteful handle this critical aspect of your Web-site security for you
We'll configure your backup system to send copies of every one of your backups to one of our secure cloud storage accounts
(including Amazon S3
and BackupBuddy Stash
. We'll retain up to three (3) of your most recent full backups and up to seven (7) of your most recent database-only backups.
If we ever need to access a backup to perform a full or partial restore for your site, you'll have the peace of mind of knowing that the solution is only a click away — even in the event your server is down and we need to reestablish your Web site on a new server!

For as long as you participate in a Maintenance Services Agreement plan that includes this feature, you will have 24/7 access to a private development site
that will be hosted on one of nSiteful's Web hosting accounts.
We will create the development site as a mirror of your live site at the time you start your Maintenance Services Agreement plan. You can then use the development site as a kind of sandbox
, where you can "play" and test things. You can test plugins and themes without fear of damaging your live site in any way. You could also use the development site as a safe training area, where you can familiarize yourself with all of the WordPress features - again, without fear of affecting your live site.
If you wish to synchronize your development site's content with that of your live site at some later date, we will perform that migration for you. Note: additional charges will apply; you can pay for this effort with the hours in your Retainer Consulting Hours bank.

Initial Setup Fee
Most of the maintenance plans we enter into with clients do not required an initial setup fee
Yours may not. But we have to inspect your site before we know.
might we need to charge an initial setup fee?
Because if we didn't create your site in the first place and have no experience working with it,
we don't know enough to determine whether we can actually maintain it under one of our plans.
We've seen all kinds of bad practices in WordPress sites
, built by developers who
either didn't know better or simply didn't care.
We've seen sites in which the WordPress core files were modified (a huge no-no).
We've seen sites using themes and plugins that haven't been maintained by their authors in years —
and are no longer supported by them.
And we've seen sites hosted on substandard Web hosts — where support is nonexistent,
standard hosting features are absent,
and the access we need to do our jobs is very limited.
The bottom line is that if we have to perform some up-front work
in order to get your site "up to code"
so that we can maintain it on a monthly basis under one of our plans,
we might need to charge an initial setup fee.
